Orion Norma Jean

Norma Jean is a fine boned, extremely smooth coated, tiny chested princess.  She has deep, calculating eyes - she's outsmarting you most of the time, whether or not you're aware of it.  Norma Jean began her hunting career as a "PETA member," or at least that's what we called her, because she would literally lick (kiss) the rats we used for training - she would stand over them and guard them from the other dogs.  But, all she needed was some REAL quarry, because she has been a wonderful worker since!  She received her first Natural Hunting Certificate in March 2004 to Opposum under working judge Jeff Rowe!  Check out the Huntin' page for pictures!

One of the most amazing things I have seen is Orion Nakita and Norma Jean (Team Normakita) working side by side in both a opossum and a coon den.  Both times, they worked like a machine and took turns striking the quarry.  They also work great together above ground, in brace trailing and locating, taking first at the Piney Wood Terrier Trial in May 2003.
